man, it felt good to have all these little suckers in metal now. 5 styles, bronze and aluminum will be available in each style. that bucket is much, much heavier than it looks....

wax nathan army complete.
wow, that only took about 12 times longer than anticipated... you're looking at about 70 hours of time cleaning up each wax mold and lovingly placing it on its sprue next to his nathan brethren. 5 nathan styles, 40 per style. 20 each in bronze and aluminum coming soon.

nathans update
slowly but surely, getting the nathan mosh-pit fully occupied. there's one golden nathan to rule them all, or direct band practice, whatever it looks like.

nathans pour.
frankie checking the molten metal in the furnaces. then some good castings in bronze and a few in aluminum.
burn nathans burn.
burning the wax out the ceramic shell, then putting them in the kiln to burn off excess carbon. then turn them upside down in the sand and ready for pouring.
more nathan progress.
nathans sprued up on wax rails, and then being coated in ceramic shell in preparation for burnout and metal pouring...
dj nathans on the wax.
molds getting hot wax poured into them. nathan is into hot wax, he's a saucy sausage. and some multiples ready to be sprued up.
rtv nathan molds.
i prepared some rtv silicone molds to make multiple waxes of the nathans. kind of a long process, but cool to see multiple waxes getting pulled off the molds.

nathans update.
i made a mold for the first of the nathans series. pulled the first waxes today, remembering about all this stuff... its been a long time since i've done any of it. should be able to clean some up and make them in metal soon enough though!
